Paul Smith's "Wood
Duck" painting will be auctioned in January 2010 at the Friends
of Scioto Brush Creek Annual Meeting.
For the past 25
years, Paul Smith has made a hobby of painting. During a
meeting of the Friends of the Scioto Brush Creek this winter,
Paul offered to lend his talent as an artist to create a
painting the organization could auction at the 2010 Annual
Meeting.
| Paul has made a habit
of donating his skill to organizations that support the
outdoors and wildlife. In the past, he has donated
paintings to the Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks
Unlimited, The Peregrine Foundation, the Wildlife
Diversity Fund and other local organizations.
A 1960 graduate of
Northwest High School, Paul is retired from the United
States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) after having served
as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for 32 years.
Now Paul finds time to produce wildlife paintings.
"Painting for me is a very inspirational time," says
Paul as he looks at the whole of nature and the
interconnection of life. |

Paul displays his painting at the
Otway Covered Bridge. |
Paul's wood duck
painting was auctioned at the Friends of Scioto Brush Creek
Annual Meeting in January 2010. The painting raised $100
to benefit the Friends of Scioto Brush Creek.
